Description
A coming-of-age family drama set in Beijing portraying a young girl who discovers a secret that shatters her seemingly perfect and spotless world.
Director's Bio
Stephanie Y. Cheng was born in Fairfax County, Virginia and grew up in Beijing, China. Growing up with cinephile parents, she was exposed to the fantastical world of movies and cinema at a young age. However, she only realized her filmmaking aspirations when she enrolled at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and ultimately went to graduate in May 2017. Stephanie has always been interested in coming-of-age stories because she’s fascinated and intrigued by the transformative period where the loss of innocence occurs.
Stephanie has recently worked on Isabel Coixet’s documentary for the Prado Museum featuring Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang and also freelances in photography.
