Description

(Documentary) “Havana Divas” by S. Louisa Wei Canadian Premiere. Caridad Amaran and Georgina Wong learned the art of Cantonese opera in Havana during WWII and toured Cuba to perform. The two sisters now take their art to perform Cantonese opera in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Will they find a stage?

Preceded by (Documentary, Comedy)Short Film “Nathan Jung v. Bruce Lee” by Timothy Tau. Canadian Premiere. Veteran actor Nathan Jung recounts the crazy, true and hilarious story of meeting Bruce Lee for the first time on the set of the TV show “Here Come the Brides” in 1969.

Admission to VAFF screenings is limited to those over 18 years of age holding a valid  VAFF membership card.
