Description

First-time feature film director Ken Wu’s decades of experience in Hong Kong cinema (working with legends such as Tsui Hark and John Woo) brings us Heartfall Arises—a psychological thriller following brave cop John Ma and criminal psychologist Calvin Che as they work together to solve a string of gruesome serial murders by a killer known as The General. As they draw closer to the final confrontation that will reveal the killer’s identity, they begin to suspect each other’s motives….Set across four countries (China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan), the film features a host of well-known Asian stars including Nicolas Tse (The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom), Lau Ching Wan (Too Many Ways to Be Number One), Tong Liya (Wild City), and Mavis Fan (The Silent War).

Director's Bio

Hong Kong-based director Ken Wu began his career as a production assistant in Cinema City Company Limited in 1984, working with directors such as Tsui Hark (Working Class) and John Woo (A Better Tomorrow). To date, Ken has been executive producer, production coordinator, and planner on the production of more than 60 movies.
