2014 Best Canadian Short Award
BEST CANADIAN SHORT AWARD
2013 Best Canadian Short winner: Carolyn Wong
Each year, independent Canadian filmmakers of Asian heritage create stories that reflect both their personal vision and the depth and breadth of the Canadian experience.
To encourage their efforts and in recognition of their achievements in filmmaking, VAFF once again is pleased to partner with the National Film Board to present this award. Past winners have continued on to further success in their filmmaking careers.
VAFF is grateful for the participation of our esteemed panel of judges, who spent time in October to review and rate the eligible films. The award will be presented by Selwyn Jacob, NFB Producer at VAFF’s Filmmakers’ Luncheon on Sunday, November 9 at the beautiful Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden.
