Description
The Lonely Light of Home follows a family who run a B&B fishing lodge in coastal British Columbia; when an alluring stranger arrives at the door, they are thrust into new emotional territory. A psychological study of the family’s inner workings, the film explores the choices of individual members as they grapple with unrequited love and betrayal. A VAFF Best Canadian Feature Award nominee.
Director's Bio
Rob Leickner got his start in the entertainment business as co-founder of The Hive recording studio, where he worked to help the one room studio grow into a 3,000 square foot complex and become one of the most significant indie rock recording studios in Vancouver (www.hivestudios.net). After achieving success in that medium, he felt his creative output pulled to the world of film. Rob immersed himself in cinema and redirected the passion that drove his commitment to The Hive, into independent filmmaking. Since 2002, Rob has written, produced, and directed six short films, and has directed five feature-length narrative films. His films have screened at festivals in Vancouver, Whistler, Toronto, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle; Seoul, South Korea; and Kampala, Uganda.
